The Jimny‘s Petrol engine that churns out 103 bhp, offered with 1.5 liters and 134 Nm, paired with 5-speed MT and 4-speed AT. Mahindra Thar offers 150 bhp with 2.0 liter, and 6 speed Mt (6 speed AT). Both these SUVs get 4*4 capabilities, however, the Thar is now offered with 4*2.
Maruti Jimmy 5 door VS Mahindra Thar: price in India
The price of the Maruti Jimny 5 door is yet to be revealed, it is expected to start from 10 lakhs to 14 lakhs, and it is expected to be launched in May this year. At the same time, the price of Mahindra Thar is started from 9.99 lakhs and goes up to 16.29 lakhs.
Maruti Jimny 5- door VS Mahindra Thar Interior:-
The interior of the Maruti Jimny 5-door and Mahindra Thar both look pretty similar in their interior design. Maruti Jimmy 5 door offers a 7.0-inch touchscreen, smart play Pro infotainment system, 4 speaker audio system, and color MID display. At the same time, Mahindra Thar offers features like fabric seats, front-facing seats for the rear passenger, a roof-mounted speaker, and a touchscreen infotainment system that is drizzle resistant. There is automatic climate control and a steering wheel.
